Large Song Thrush Vase

This large vase is part of my Birds on the Edge collection, a collection developed for and exhibition in collaboration with North York Moors National Park, a body working to conserve habitat for endangered species. This vase has an image of a Song Thrush from my sketchbook on the front and the back. It has concave shapes of ammonites both front and back. It is watertight and will hold water for flowers. It has a foot ring with an ammonite detail on the base. It is made from parian, a form of porcelain created by the Victorians to emulate marble.

Size: 255mm high by 180mm wide by 120mm deep.
